SOUTHERN SMOTHERED CHICKEN WITH GRAVY .............

Recipe :
1 lbs chicken ( I used legs, and thighs)
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp celery seed
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp minced garlic
1 medium sized onion, chopped

Directions
  1. Start off by making sure that all of the chicken is nice and clean.
  2. Pour 1 1/2 cup flour into a large bowl, and add in seasonings : garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, celery seed, smoked paprika. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour, and make sure you coat all surfaces.
  4. Reserve the seasoned flour.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of vegetable oil into a large pan, then place the plan over medium heat.
  6. Start adding in the chicken, but be sure to not over crowd the pan ( use a pan big enough to hold all of the chicken).
  7. Cook the chicken until it is golden brown(DO NOT worry about cooking the chicken until done, because we will cook it some more).
  8. Once the chicken is nice and browned, remove it from the pan. Leave the oil in the pan.
  9. Toss in the onions, and cook them for about 2 minutes, then add in the garlic. Once the garlic is in the pan let it cook for an additional minute, then remove the onions and garlic from the pan.
  10. Add three tbsp of the seasoned flour (the same flour that you coat the chicken with) to the pan. Stir in with the oil.
  11. Next pour in 2 cups of chicken broth. Whisk in while pouring in the broth. Make sure there aren’t any lumps.
  12. Let the gravy cook for about 2 minutes ( still on medium heat), then pour in 1 cup of milk into the pan.
  13. Let the creamy gravy cook for about 3 minutes, then start adding the chicken back into the pan, as well as the onions and garlic.
  14. Make sure all of the chicken is coated with  the creamy gravy.
  15. Place a lid on the pan, then let the chicken cook for 30-35 minutes. Be sure to occasionally turn the chicken.
  16. Once done serve the chicken with rice or mashed potatoes.

Doa Waktu Pagi Untuk Mengelak Musibah ..............

Doa Mengelak Musibah

(Hadis Riwayat Ahmad no 497)

Sedekah Pagi Mengelak Musibah

Aminn!!!

  • The Traditional Chinese Medical Theory of total body regulation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the human body is regarded as a biological whole, where Yin and Yang are the main factors regulating the body’s metabolism and physiological functions. Yin and Yang mutually enhance and mutually restrain, thus they maintain their own relative dynamic equilibrium, which is the basic condition for the normal functioning of all activities in life. When Yin and Yang are balanced, the body is healthy. If there is a total or partial disruption in the harmony of Yin and Yang, an imbalance of Yin and Yang is created, and diseases are triggered.

Duo-directional regulation

As the nature of Chinese medicinal herbs is generally mild, multi-targeting and synergetic in their actions, they are in many ways able to perform duo-directional regulation. This is a special feature of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also its advantage, that is – “regulation”.
Cordyceps is such a duo-directional regulating medicinal herb, where it can nourish the Yin and also reinforce the Yang; it can treat hypertension and also hypotension; it can reduce blood sugar in the aid of diabetes treatment and at the same time improve hypoglycemia to replenish energy to the body; it can enhance the functions of the immune system as well as lower the functions of certain immunocytes.

Garlic Knots .....

  Garlic Knots

  Garlic Knots

Ingredients:
2 lbs. store-bought pizza dough, thawed at room temperature
All purpose flour, for rolling out dough
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon finely chopped Italian flat leaf parsley
Salt

Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Divide the dough in half, keeping half covered under a kitchen towel. Roll out the other half on a lightly floured surface with a rolling pin, creating a 10-inch square. If the dough is very stiff, use your hands to stretch it.
Cut the 10-inch square in half with a sharp knife or pizza wheel to form two rectangles. Cut each rectangle into 12 strips (the cuts should be made so that the strips are shorter and thicker, rather than longer and thinner).
Tie each strip into a knot and then arrange the knots on the lined baking sheets. Cover them with a kitchen towel while you repeat the rolling, cutting and tying process with the second half of the dough.
Bake the knots for 5 minutes, then rotate the baking sheet and bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
While knots bake, grate the garlic cloves using a Microplane and combine with olive oil and butter in a small sauce pan over low heat. Cook just until butter has melted and mixture is warmed. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
Immediately after baking, brush the baked knots with the garlic mixture and sprinkle with kosher salt. Serve warm.
