~ How To Treat Cellulite ~

Cellulite is not an indication of body weight as it affects the fat, skinny and the in-between. This is because everyone has layers of fat beneath the skin’s surface.

Fibrous cords connect the skin to our muscle, between the skin and the muscle lies fat. When this fat presses against the fibrous cords, you get the dimpled cottage cheese look, called cellulite.

Toxins not being properly expelled from the body.

This fibrous layer beneath the skin can become stretched, and as we age our skin loses some elasticity, therefore making the fat beneath the skin more visible.

Or to put it another way; fat cells in the hypodermis (deepest layer of skin) become over inflated, because of an increase in fat storage. The fat cells then protrude up through the connective tissue, giving you the cottage cheese appearance.

Women are affected by the dimply, cottage cheese look on their bodies more so than men, as women’s skin is thinner and it shows more clearly. As aging occurs, the skin thickness becomes less and less, which is why cellulite becomes much more noticeable.

Some cellulite is only noticeable when the skin is pulled tight, and some is obvious and unsightly.

The Many Reasons Why You Can Have Cellulite ;

* Age, genes, how thick the skin is and how much fat there is on the body.
* There is research into estrogens (a female hormone produced by the ovaries). Suggesting that estrogens break down collagen (connects and supports other bodily tissues). When this breakdown occurs it leads to the formation of cellulite.
* Free radicals, which attack collagen.
* Poor circulation and a build up of toxins in the body can contribute to cellulite.
* Poor drainage from the veins and lymph system, causing swollen feet and ankles, varicose veins, stress, and anxiety.
* A large part of cellulite could be
* Taking the birth control pill.
* Hormonal changes, puberty, pregnancy and menopause.

One thing is certain, if you have a poor diet and never exercise, you will only worsen the appearance of cellulite.

Cellulite appears mostly on the buttocks, thighs and backs of arms, and can also be seen on legs and stomach.

Cellulite Treatments ;

Using a cream to reduce the appearance of your cellulite is safer than surgery. Yet, using a cream will not provide a miracle either.

What a cellulite cream actually does is, smooth and tighten your skin, reducing the appearance and feel of cellulite. It will not get rid of your cellulite completely, and you will need to keep using the creams, to maintain the desired effect.

Using a good cream combined with a healthy diet, plenty of water and exercise is the key to reducing the appearance, and helping to prevent it from getting worse. Remember, if you are overweight cellulite is inclined to be much more noticeable.

Cellulite Removal - The Best Four ingredients

* Collagen - helps to improve your skins condition.
* Retinol - helps in collagen production, making skin thicker.
* DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) - a form of antioxidant, derived from fish.
* AHA’s – alpha hydroxy acids, act as an exfoliant helping to remove the top dead skin cells.

Caffeine is another ingredient found in many cellulite creams and is said to help shrink fat. Although there is no scientific evidence this is the case.

Then there are all the herbal creams on the market to consider as well!

I think, if you stick to the four main ingredients (throw in a little bit of caffeine), you can’t go wrong and should definitely see an improvement in the look and feel of your cellulite.

Remember, you need to continuously use the cream in order to reap the rewards!

How to treat cellulite is no easy feat, yet you should be able to reduce the appearance of it if you stick to a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water and rub in a little cream……
